More Graphic Design Work
Here is a continued look into my graphic design work across a variety of projects and styles. Some of the projects showcased below are designs or concepts that were not picked for a particular freelancing project, others are contest entries that I did for fun, as well as a passion project of my own.
Sewn in Seattle
Logo Concept
01
Here was a project I worked on during my time at Sketch Soup. Alongside the creative director, I came up with the logo and secondary icons shown in the mockup. This was the design concept pre-finalizations.

Graduation Announcement
This was a fun and playful design I created for a soon to be college graduate. They didn't want to create a traditional graduation announcement full of photos so I decided to take inspiration from the school colors and degree field and created what I find to be a much more interactive and interesting design.

Tee Shirt Design Contest
Life is Good
Here was my entry for one of Life is Goods Tee Shirt Contests. The prompt was to create something that reminds you that "life is good". Immediately I knew I had to incorporate food since I am such a foodie myself. A picnic seemed like a unique concept to me and I was inspired by the illustrator Lauren Martin with the food characterization.
Book Cover Concept
Freelance- Sketch Soup
This was another book cover concept for a project through Sketch Soup. Although I was super happy with the result, the creative director and client had the final say and continued to edit it and make changes from this point on.

Album Cover Contest
Bitches These Days-
Olivia O'Brien
This was probably my favorite contest I have entered just because I had so much fun experimenting and playing around with ideas. I liked creating the visions I saw when I listened to the song. It was a very artistic experience. Both of these entries were created in Photoshop and incorporate layer modes, photo compilation and text manipulation. To me, the song was giving Y2K energy so I tried to keep both concepts very trendy, retro, and girly. Although, my designs were not picked, I was definitely proud of my final products.

Tee-Shirt Design Contest
Boss Dog & Zumiez Collab
The artist Boss Dog was having a collab with Zumiez and threw a contest for a tee shirt design that was a "draw this in your style." They provided us with their initial design and that was it in terms of direction. I went for a groovy take on the illustration, since the initial was more dark and punk.

Personal Rebrand
Mad Opus- Design Co.
Here is a look into my personal passion project. This is the new brand board I created. During the pandemic I created an Etsy shop called Mad Magnum Opus, mostly to sell polymer clay earrings I was making at the time. Since, then I've been working on rebranding it and transitioning it over to more of my illustration and graphic design art and services. It is not fully up and running but I wanted to spend extra time on the logo and branding this time around as it will be a full representation of me and my work.
